Who we are:  

The Starz of Houston Figure Skating club is dedicated to promoting amateur figure skating in northern Houston.  We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, funded through membership fees and fundraising activities.  The money is dispersed to pay for test sessions, competitions, coach’s memberships, judge’s expenses, local judge development and social activities for the club members.

Our mission is to promote, foster, and encourage our membership’s enjoyment of recreational and competitive figure skating, while improving and advancing the quality of their experiences and encounters with others in the sport.  We encourage and cultivate a spirit of harmony and friendship, and are dedicated to providing figure skater information that will help skaters meet their individual goals.

Mission Goals:

  
  • Provide proper facilities that promote general sociability among its members.
  • Encourage the instruction, practice and advancement of its members in all disciplines of figure skating.
  • Provide educational opportunities related to skating for skaters, coaches and other family members.
  • Create opportunities for local skaters to showcase their talents.
  • Promote the sport in cooperation with the other local figure skating clubs.
  • Provide support for skating members participating in the USFSA competitions.
  • Provide the necessary path for local skaters who aspire to National, International, and Olympic competition.
  • Carry out the general policies and objectives of the USFSA.
Our goal is to make figure skating a fun and memorable experience for everyone in the family!

Starz of Houston Figure Skating Club is a nonprofit organization that provides its members with a local structure for the  execution of United States Figure Skating testing and competition standards.
